MovieProfiler 's emotion search engine uses 8 emotions - Fear, Anger, Sorrow, Joy, Disgust, Credibility (Acceptance), Anticipation and Surprise - based on Robert Plutchik's (1980) psychoevolutionary theory of basic emotions. You indicate on a 5 point scale how much of each emotion you want in a movie for the present occasion and are provided with a list of films with a  percentage score indicating the extent to which they meet your requirements. The underlying Ratings of each film appear to be done on a 16 point scale and we reproduce in this Annalisa snaphot the scores for 3 films when all emotions are put at maximum alt file here
